The Martians in the book The War Of The Worlds that was written by H. G. Wells were on the quest to Earth for resources to help them survive. The Martians and Japan both play the same role as the attacking force that unexpectedly attacked for political reasons. The Japanese reasoning was to destroy America’s naval fleet that would be the only force able to stop them on their conquest of taking over parts of the Pacific ocean. The Martians who were also on their own conquest, were aiming for a life sustainable planet to feed off of and deplete the resources so that they can survive and thrive as a race of intelligent creatures. Just like the Japanese, the Martians ravaged warfare against another life form to gain self gain.
