W O N D R O U S W I F I The things that benefit the way we live are often the things we take for granted. Even the most beloved of things can be utterly forgotten or even lost in the monsoon of new ideas. Our abundance of aimless thoughts often prevail the musings about the things we take for granted. It is only when we lose them when they actually cross our thoughts. One of the most important and life changing inventions, in my mind, is wifi, which we immensely take for granted. Invented in its early stages (called frequency hopping) by Hedy Lamarr, wifi was barely used at all. She proposed to use it for the military, but even they denied its ability. Now, however, wifi is used everywhere, everyday. In fact, it is used so much, people begin to treat it as a necessity. I can say that I do as well, since I and many other people use wifi everyday of their lives. Although it isn't as important as food, water, clothes, or shelter, wifi is treated and praised like it is. Our society relies on it way too much; it's like we can't live without it. Unlike other necessities, wifi is taken for granted by a lot of people, which further leads us to forget the privilege and fortune we have in our lives. …show more content…

It makes our everyday lives a lot easier. Without it, we wouldn't be able to connect to the internet. All of those answers to all of our questions can be found in many places online, and we can access them due to wifi. Also, we can access a plethora of websites and applications that aid us with educational information. We can connect from many places, which enhances the convenience. I personally find this connection extremely helpful, since it helps me learn things, find out information, and do it all conveniently.
