“Lawyers are professional persons who are specially trained in knowledge of the law and the skills to appropriately apply it, and who as members of a group offer that knowledge and those skills in the spirit of public service to the community.”( New Brunswick: Maritime Law Books, 2001) The court and the jury cannot be the guardians of law and are unable to guarantee justice, unless there is a lawyer who is the face of the truth, interprets the law through actions and words and manifests the voice of ordinary people. Law and justice are of supreme importance in any country despite of the country’s economic level. If there is no justice, fairness and rule of law there will be many problems in all aspects of life. Thus, there is a necessity to establish fair justice and for this very reason, there are the legal representatives: the lawyers. A lawyer stands for a justice more than the judge or the jury. Twelve people are brought together to decide whether the teenage boy is innocent or guilty. In the jury room, eleven of them vote guilty. Only one of them decides to take the case more serious and make a decision based on reasonable doubt. In this mini-drama each if the jurors has prejudices and preconceptions, which make the case more difficult. The situation makes the lawyer’s absence obvious and shows the significant impact on the decision made by the juror. It is true that justice starts from ordinary people, but if there is law performance of official representatives in a court, the verdict will be biased and incorrect. In every trial, it is highly important to look at things from different angles and listen to various perspectives. Lawyers should show the facts and make sure that the power given to certain people is not misused like in this
