ICT's vital role cannot be ignored in increasing attainment to education as well as preparing better quality education (Gutterman et al, 2009). Education has not been untouched by the pervasive impact of information and communication technology. No doubt that ICT has influenced the quantity and quality of teaching, learning, and research. The concept of ICT is vaster than this. Although it is believed that radio and television play a less important role in education nowadays, some teachers and educators still consider them as an effective means of teaching. However, ICT is a totally new phenomenon; at the very beginning.
However, schools and government should pay great attention to the use of ICT and take some very crucial points into consideration. As Al-Fahad (2009) states, schools and universities should: - Advocate the applying of ICT as an integral part of the provision of quality education for all. They should advocate for the use of ICT in education as a key modern aid to teaching and learning;
- Support the free access for all the teachers and learners, and also support the high quality ones;
- Support the idea of being fully applicable in learning and teaching of any subject, insist that ICT is supportive of the work of teachers and learners, and whoever related to the teaching and learning process in this

In bilingual classrooms across America, teachers use whiteboards, LCD projectors and the internet to engage learners. Educational videos, such as those on the Discovery Education website, are a great way to reinforce or supplement curriculum when concepts seem to fall short. It is easier for English language learners to understand literary concepts, for instance character, plot and setting, by viewing a Charlie Chaplin video than by struggling through a more complex textbook where up to 75 percent of the vocabulary could be new to the student. Additionally, watching a video requires the teacher to pause several times for discussion and note taking.
Technology enables students and teachers to have a fast and easy way to acquire unlimited access to tons of information. With all of the useful technologies, the curriculum is bound to change in endless ways, creating more opportunity for learning.
Education plays a key role in the development of one’s character and future achievements. The importance of education has elevated in numerous ways over time. The higher an education a person receives is expected to give an individual a better occupation and therefore result in more earned money by that individual. Human desires have led to the great want to achieve the best education in order to ensure that more then just the basic needs and wants are met by that individual, whether it is for themselves or for those that are dependent upon them. Hence the best education one can receive will contribute to the fulfillment of their desires and wants. In recent years the internet has played quite a major part in education. There are a number of key reasons why we must ensure adequate funding of our schools. To start, we must increase the accessibility of the Internet in our schools. With our society growing by the minute the need for technology is rapidly on the run. Today we depend heavily on the Internet to provide us with fast information. It is used in high tech businesses, in homes and in schools. Through the Internet we enable students to explore new and interesting issues. In addition to the books found in our local library, the Internet serves as a fundamental tool for education. With all of the assets that the Internet provides not all schools have it at their disposal. “According to a 1999 survey, conducted by Education Week only 87%, in states like Pennsylvania had Internet access” (Gazette 99). “This number however rose to 90% in 1999.” Although the numbers did rise there are other states that are not even close to that number of access. This poses as a major problem because while other students are building their skills and are learning more, others still rely on books and articles. Through Internet use students will not only be introduced to a wide a ray of topics and search engines but will also be able to familiarize themselves with technology.

Technology is necessary in today’s modern globe, it is basically “the pen and paper of our time and the lens through which we experience much of our world” (Warlick, 2013). Technology is not just considered the “internet”, it is so much greater than that. Overall, it enhances the quality of education and engages students deeper than ever before. With all the significant gains, why would people argue that technology hinders students more than it helps? Critics may try to repute the use of technology in the classroom but I believe what really matters “is the way we use it, the context that we use it in, and the learners who we use it for” (Chong, 2012).

I used to question the integration of computers in the preschool classrooms. After completing this course, I have learned so much about the benefits of integrating technology as a teaching tool. I am confident to teach technology skills, and to use technology as a tool to help my students become cyber safe and technology skilled. I believe learning technology should be fun, and at the same time rewarding. Because through this course have learned, that there is more about teaching basic technology skills. I have learned that technology can be the best teaching tool.
