There’s more than 14 billion pounds of plastic and garbage is dumped into the oceans in the United States. Ocean pollution could be a thing of the past if people stopped littering, oil spills were prevented or contained, and if people weren’t allowed to use oil wells where natural water is. Pollution is still a major issue especially in China and Japan. Pollution has been around since the 1960s (“Along” 2009) and it's only getting worse each year. By the year 2050 there will be more plastic than fish when weighed.(“Any” 2014) However, people dump more garbage into the ocean than the number of fish they take out of the ocean (“We” 1942). This shows that there's a lot of trash in the ocean. We get to the conclusion that people are mostly causing pollution because of their laziness.
Ocean pollution can make jobs for people who are employed.(“Advantages” 2011) People can pick up the trash in the ocean as a job.(“Advantages” 2011) Then it also makes it easier for the companies to throw away the

Pollution could end if people helped each other cleaning up stuff. If the government put more garbage cans in neighborhoods and in the cities. If people didn’t drive cars so much. Use less plastic companies. If we only have 100 people cleaning up the beaches then it’s going to take longer for them to clean up the ocean. If we use less plastic products then we wouldn’t risk then blowing into the ocean. (“Mind” 2017) When we use cars they are letting out burnt gasoline and other fuels.
