It is six o’clock in the morning when an alarm goes off to wake up for college class. As an employee, to afford living expenses, it was a long night of work. With being deprived of sleep, affecting not only the body but also the mind, class begins to become such a drag. The focus needed is no longer in factor. When grades begin to display the lack of sleep, a counselor recommends taking online classes. Online education offers convenient schedules that can help assist those who may have a tight living schedule. Online education allows one to set up a personal schedule in order to study or complete assignments at any particular time. Many individuals who take these online courses usually take them because it allows them to get an education while also being able to take care of their priorities. In 2011, 6.7 million students were enrolled in at least one on line class. ("What Are the Potential Benefits of Online Learning?"). Online education is very beneficial to those who may want to work towards higher education or possibly even a degree. However, some may not think highly of one who studies or gains a degree from online education. They feel that online education is easier, doesn’t require as much work, and can be cheated on. An education is an education, and should be judged the same. In fact, even if a student does take online classes and he or she does not take full advantage of it properly he or she will not be educated enough to succeed in a particular job. So whether it was easy, didn’t require much work, or easy to cheat on, the degree earned would not be useful. On the other hand those taking online classes are usually adults who actually want to gain education to better their lives. Now a days students who attend college have many other obligations they must fulfill in order to be successful.
