The poem "Lucinda Matlock" by Edgar Lee Masters, in a pint of view from a teen like me, I couldn't understand how sad it would be to lose a kid but what I liked about this poem is that as a mother, she showed love and caring, food to keep them alive and her as a parent got a good last reminder of her kids who died knowing that she did everything in her life. it showed how good of a parent she was and how well she did making them grow as healthy and as well as they can. It also showed that she wanted a big family, maybe to feel lonely and also so that way she will have someone to talk and enjoy it not only with her partner but with her kids that she had had for a very long time. She tells a sad story of a tough life, but she does not for what has happened to complain. She remembers the dances of her youth and moonlight of June when she met her husband. They were married and lived together for seventy years working, enjoying life, and raising twelve of her most wonderful children. They have lost eight of them before she reached the age of sixty. She did housework and worked in the garden, she cared and loved for her family. She enjoyed life as any other woman when they have a great family.
