Recommended: Comparing the two wes moores

“The Other Wes Moore” tells a story, two boys that has one name, but their lives are not in the same future paths. The author said that both Wes’s grew up without a father under a similar environment, but the difference was that author Wes followed the education tract and family influences but other Wes was not successful. To the point Author Wes showed that how his future life is finally result of what he is today, he grew up to become a dedicated veteran, a business leader, and a Rhodes Scholar; as Convict Wes ended up serving a life sentence for committing murder. The author stated that “The chilling truth is that his could have been mine. The tragedy could have been his.” (Moore xi). I agree with his achievement, of how they accept and act by solving their troubles from their illegal behavior, also educational backgrounds and family influences that makes them change for their life. Both Wes’s lives changed after they got in trouble once. After Author Wes and his partner Shea finished the tagging the wall, a police siren blurted. They sprinted into different directions, but Author Wes ran toward the blue/white police cruiser and the “officers took seconds to hand cuff him and throw him to the cruiser” (Moore 81). He was scared and afraid of his immediate fate. As Author Wes loudly attempted to overrule the officer by apologizing, the officers released both Author Wes and Shea at the end, and told them to go home. Author Wes felt ashamed after he got into trouble with the police and also felt sorry for his actions. These quotes prove that it is a sequence after the police caught Author Wes in the act. This has to do with the prompt because if Author Wes did not cry and apologize in front of t... ... middle of paper ... ...r Convict Wes’s behaviors because her irresponsibility lead to him not attending school. This has to do with the prompt because if Convict Wes went to school, then he could not have ended in the drug game then prison. These are similar circumstances, but a way to educate children is different. I agree with the author’s statement because of how they react with their troubles with the first time, educational support, and family influences. The result for Author Wes was success, which he obtained a Master’s degree at Oxford and published this book in 2010; as the result for Convict Wes was “life-behind-bars”, which he and his brother committed an armed robbery that caused a death. Selecting the reality is so cool and gives a good result for the effort. I recommend this book if other people have questions regarding living a life lesson in every effort.
