A life that is lived without beauty is a life lived in unhappiness and hopelessness. Women’s beauty goes way beyond what your eyes can see. It holds a deeper meaning and value than just a visual experience. Beauty in the Oxford Dictionary is defined as a set of qualities, such as shape, color, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight (English Oxford Living Dictionaries). Today, beauty is determined by how women look, their color, race, body shape, weight, or simply by what they’re wearing. As we will see, women's beauty is more than skin deep and is not what you see in the media or popular trends, but it’s a measure of emotion. A woman offers beauty through the grace of her gestures, the confidence in her walk, and strength in her stare (Schefer 68). It is the difference between having a face caked up in mascara, lipstick, and foundation and having a naked free face. It is about the complete individual person expressing themselves through their actions. It’s about having confidence in ourselves and being capable of making decisions. Knowing you did things for your own peace of mind and not for everyone else shines beauty on your life. Knowing you are worth the world and everything it offers. Knowing who you are, being unique, and staying true to yourself and not hiding your true soul from anyone or anything without being ashamed or in fear of it reflects your individualistic beauty. Beauty is instantly recognized by the soul and not eyes. The truest form of beauty comes from within ourselves and it is about embracing who you are and loving who you are while choosing your identity over appearance. Having a distinctive personality and being kind and caring to others makes a woman beautiful. Brightening up other people’s day when they are down because you aren’t selfish.
