Latin America has gone through some very hard times economically and politically, with it’s colorful characters such as the infamous Pablo Escobar, the history of corruption is rich. Corruption in the Narc world is what I will be focusing on, the drug cartels have been controlling almost every aspect in their coresponding country. I first became interested in Pablo Escobar when I began watching Narcos, good show but El Patron de El Mal was recommended to me and it turns out it gives a much deeper detailed story of the infamous Pablo Escobar. Out of all the details in his life what I find most interesting was the idea of him running to be president of Columbia. Now here is the scenario, you have a billionaire drug lord who would like to run to be a congressman and eventually run to be president of columbia, who also believes that he has a great chance at becoming president of Columbia because he has done nothing wrong. From that moment on you see him develop into a completely different person no longer afraid and more of a leader/ boss. I mention this because his mother is who shaped him into such a strong thinking individual, who refused to live the way they did he...

...hat happened behind the major points that everybody knows about the corruption happening in the drug war amongst the different countries. Though I have yet to finish this very lengthy bio documentary what I have seen and the research I have done has opened up my eyes to a new interest. The most important concept for me to grasp is, why is the law enforcement so weak, it needs to be strengthened and respected, so that things such as the drug cartels are not in power but the people are. If this was to be implemented, the laws would be stronger which would lead to less corruption. Though Pablo Escobar helped a lot of less fortunate, he also hurt a lot of families by causing so many deaths, at his height of his reign. Dirty cops and dirty politicians is something that is fought against on the daily and it is a constant struggle that the world fighting against to this day.
