Greek mythology has been around for many years and it is believed to be of great importance since it gives meaning to everything in the world today. A muse, for instance, is very popular in Greek Mythology. A muse is usually a woman who is an inspiration to others. The nine muses in Greek Mythology were the daughters of the Lord of Gods, Zeus and Goddess of Memory, Mnemosyne. Zeus had mystified Mnemosyne and he slept with her for nine consecutive days and the result of that were his nine daughters (Hughes). They were merely known as the immortal goddesses of arts and sciences.
