Throughout my life, I have seen many types of movies. From the biggest, most bombastic blockbuster to the most ambitious adaptation of Shakespeare's play. However, when it all comes down to my favorite movie genres, there are only three that qualified to be my favorites, the historical movies, the action movies and finally satire movies.

The historical movies genres is by and large, the hardest genre to get into. Especially for those who are not history buffs like me. These movies are ambitious projects, telling the stories of historical figures that would either be lost to time, or (in)famous is no easy to task to accomplish. The filmmakers have to strike a careful balance between historical accuracy using verified historical documents, and they must also tell an exciting tale for the audience. An example can be made through the comparison of two historical movies, one does its job well and the other does not. Started in the 70s and rose to prominence in the 80s before finally submerged in the 90s. These movies tend to take a comedic approach to what would be considered serious issues such as crime, drug abuse, politics, or sometimes they just poke fun at the industry's trend itself. Satirical movies rely on well used of gags, timing and how does a gag play out in proportion to the scenario. This means that the genre of satire movies is one of the hardest to master and its demand for meticulous attention to details justifies that notion.
