People access different information such news, historical information, and updates through several ways. They can use moth to moth telling or mass media including television broadcast, radios, newspapers, and others. Mass media is appropriate in delivering information to a large number of people. The information may regard to health issues, politics, economics, and other daily news which affect people's lives.

1. The Major Milestones in the History of Mass Media from 1960 up Today.

1.1. The Evolution of Mass Media and Culture
As time went, different mass media including newspapers, radios, and television broadcasts have been already invented especially in America by 1960. At that time, the television broadcast was the most mass medium …show more content…

The main purpose of that event was to let people get different information about the violence and escapism in different areas of the world for them to know and decide their right way of living. One of the instances of violence which appeared on the screen was “NBC news report in 1968 that aired a shot of South Vietnamese General Nyuyen Ngoc Loan executing a captive on a Saigon street” (The Saylor Foundation, n.d., p. 396). In the same process, television broadcast conveyed other messages regarding diversity and politics. For instance, “After the U.S. Supreme Court sanctioned women’s right to abortion in 1972, divorce rates skyrocketed during the 1970s, as states adopted no-fault divorce laws, and the change in family dynamics was reflected on television” (The Saylor Foundation, n.d., p. 397). 1.4. The Mass Media: Social Networking
This was the event of inventing different relational networks that would help people to create accounts and profiles for them to build strong social networking with many people around the word. Some of those social networks included Facebook, Twitter, Skype, WhatsApp, and others. People accessed these social networks using different devices like computers and smartphones. It helps them take advantage over the rivals in a certain political activity. From 1960 whereby the first televised political campaign took place till now, the mass media keep playing the great role because they help the rival reach out to many people and attracts as many audiences as possible. The process is called propaganda in politic where people adapt or develop some opinions about the certain political event because they got them from media: Reading newspapers (both online or printed), watching televisions, and different discussions on the certain political topic, (Mutz, n.d., p. xx).
