The Influence of the Color of the Paper in Memory Recall

Memory refers to the mental process of coding retaining, and retrieving information in the environment. (Dzulkifli & Mustafar, 2013) Cognitive psychologists are still studying how human cognitive deals with memorization. Many variables have been proposed to contribute to the retrieval operations and one of the variables in colour.
Color is the most influential aspects that could increase the study skills of students. (Denby, 2002). There are studies that explain that color can somehow influence memory. Color is said to be the most essential visual experience to human beings. It functions as an influential information network in human brain and found to play an important role in enhancing memory performance. It can also improve the attention level and arousal that can enhance memory. (Spence, et al, 2006; Dzulkifli & Mustafar, 2013)
This experiment is about the improvement that the color of the paper can bring to the learning capabilities. Some colored paper represents meaning; such as, green represents positive and can negate negative effects on your brain, and yellow means mind and intelligence. These colors are light and it is very attractive to our eye and our brain. Having colored papers will trigger a part of our brain that it will be more attractive and be more curious about the content of the paper.
Color manipulation is also important for businesses to enhance their sales and make their business more profitable. Using the right combination of colors to promote your business is a very important factor for a businessman. Business must look good in front of people. It must look attractive and whenever people got a glance in their advertisement or shop people will look at it and it must trigger their curiosity about the busin...

Definition of terms
Colored Paper. This is the material that the experimenters used in the experiment; a light yellow-colored paper wherein the second and third stanza of the poem Invictus were printed.
Memory Recall. This refers to the ability of the subjects to recall and write down the stanzas that the experimenter asked them to memorize. This served as the dependent variable in the experiment.
Non-colored Paper. This refers to the material used by the experimenters in conducting the experiment. It is white-colored (normal) paper wherein the second and third stanzas of the poem Invictus were printed.
Time. This refers to the 3-minute time that the experimenters gave to the subjects to memorize each stanza that were given to them and the minute that the experimenters gave to the subject to write down what they can remember.
