THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND Reading is one of the habits which everyone should develop. It can give the readers a lot of benefits such as wider vocabulary, enhancement of grammar and improved proficiency in their language. Reading materials are now being utilized in the internet world wherein everyone can see and read them. With this, most of the students nowadays are being addicted in reading Wattpad stories. Wattpad is now the latest source of e-stories which are dominating the minds of students as they try to keep themselves busy aside from surfing the internet and social networking sites. This can also help them keep in mind to monitor what their children are reading.
• The Wattpad writers - this can help them be aware of the possible effects of their stories, be it positive or negative, to their readers. That way, they can provide reading materials which can help the high school students not just to have a past-time but to learn as well through reading their stories.
• The Researchers - for them to know the effects of Wattpad stories to the students. This may help them understand more of the high school student’s attitude and behaviour.
Definition of terms
• Fan fiction - a new trend of literature where canon characters were written by other authors to expand the world of the original selection or create a new environment based on the primary source.
• E-Stories - stories which can be read and viewed through the use of internet.
• Wattpad - the latest source of e-stories that most teenagers are patronizing nowadays and make it as part of their leisure time.
• Study Habits - the things that the students are doing in order for them to attain better
