The Industrial revolution was the turning point of technology that changed everyday life. Before the Industrial revolution many people worked and lived on farms and produced their own goods by hand. The Industrial revolution changed that, many people moved into cities and worked in factories to produce cheaper, now more easily obtainable goods. The Industrial revolution was a huge change and was caused by things such as the Agrarian revolution, the Geography of Great Britain and the capital of Britain as well. The Industrial revolution in turn caused things such as mass production, urbanization and big business to happen.

There were three main causes that really started the Industrial Revolution. One was the Agrarian Revolution, which was the change in farming methods that paved way for a surplus of food. Mass production was created through the use of factories and allowed for many products (such as textiles) to be produced cheaply and in large quantities. This change in the way of production (from the Put Out system to Mass Production) allowed for many jobs in factories to be opened and even helped pave way for urbanization and the start of big business. Urbanization was the shift of living from small towns and farms to cities, so that people could be closer to the factories that they worked in. Living conditions were very poor in these cities in the early part of the revolution because many families and workers lived in cramped houses with very poor sanitary sources. Big business was the creation of corporations and stocks.
