For years now voting has been an option for citizens. I acknowledge that in The United States its all about freedom and the fact that voting is a option fits right into that. I strongly believe that it hasn't get us anywhere though since many people choose not to vote. If voting was mandatory it would have a greater impact In The United States. In my estimation, The United States should enact a compulsory voting law.
If every citizen voted they would become interested in what's happening today in The United States. Eric Liu agrees when he says ,"Third, mandatory voting would prompt more Americans to pay attention to the choices". In other words Eric Liu believes that the people would pay attention to whats wrong or right if they voted.
