They have developed numerous amounts of software and technology and have been positive for businesses. Many businesses IT’s rely on Oracle for their transaction process and applications. In this paper, we will learn about what Oracle is, who invented it, and the importance of the invention as a whole. In 1979, the company launched Oracle version 2 which allowed RDBMS for sale. RSI changed their name to Oracle Systems Corporation in 1982 and the name was given by Larry Ellison, who worked on a CIA project code named ?Oracle?. For the next three years after that, each year came with its own Oracle release. 1983’s release was Oracle version 3 and began using programming language. It also ran minicomputers and PC’s. It was able to execute statements and transactions, which is when businesses started to give more attention to Oracle. The following year, Oracle version 4 was released due to the demand from people since version 3 was well received. The history of Ellison shows that no matter the situation it can get done. Even when his mother had died and while he never completed college, he was still able to get a good job and make billions of dollars for the project he made for the CIA. If this invention were to be taken away from society today right now, it would cause so many problems with businesses and forms of communication. People who speak different languages wouldn’t be able to communicate with others easier through the internet considering there would be no multi-language processor. Oracle will always be something that even though it’s not as talked about as other applications or computer functions such as Snapchat or microprocessors, it plays a bigger role with our modern technology than most of our society probably
