Over the years these amazing groups of men, also known as fraternities, have been given a bad name due to actions of a few individuals. This has led people to begin rumors and take on a poor perspective on Fraternities in multiple aspects. People see Fraternities as murders and menaces to society when they are much more than that. Fraternities are known for their helpfulness being dedicated to the community and the school. Always finding a way to give back and change the reputation they are known for. With so many different Organizations and chapters the possibilities are endless. Greek life is currently on the rise. There are about “380,000 male undergraduates” that belong to a Fraternity(Bruni). This has been a huge increase of over 50% in the last ten years. Greek life is more popular than it's ever been. This is because Fraternities hold their members accountable and require a certain GPA to be inducted into their brotherhood. Each fraternity varies on their policy. The most common is a 2.7 but some are above a 3.5. These select few are considered honor societies that are comprised of students who excel in their programs. These Fraternities tend to have very successful and wealthy members. Being able to say that you were a part of a Fraternity in college shows that you have commitment and dedication. When a potential job sees that on your resume it signals that you have skills other don't. It shows that you have loyalty and you know what respect is. It shows that you live by a set of values and morales specified by that particular fraternity. The main takeaway is that you have great time management because while you were still being a student you took on something that takes a lot of time and
