Cause it is actually cheaper to eat healthy. Eating unhealthy not only cost more for food but eventually you will have to visit the doctor more and doctor visits are not free nor cheap. Eating healthy influences your entire life. Your family will follow to your example and create healthy habits for the entire family and hopefully for their kids too. You will have more energy and protein needed to workout to your full potential. Eating unhealthy junk food will not leave your body happy, you may be happy at the moment but after awhile when your body is not happy neither will you. The most unselfish thing in the world would be to take care of not only your diet but also influence your family and friends’ diets everyone may not listen but one is better than
Eating healthy is a hard task. According to Harvard School of Public Health “The healthiest diets cost about $1.50 more per day than an unhealthy diets”.(Dwyer2013) That would make a healthy diet cost around $550.00 more a year. This is a startling fact, being that obesity has doubled over the last twenty years and affects almost 30% of the population in the United States.
The myth of you can eat whatever you want, only if you live an active lifestyle has been proven as false. The American people have become lazy and have chosen to give a blind eye to the matter, stating that we all need to accept ourselves and love one another. But this simply is not the case. Whether or not you love yourself and your weight still has no effect whether or not you are on of the three hundred thousand a year that end their life early due to bad eating habits.
When talking about health, if people is able to visualize what is good (healthy) and what is bad for health, they will choose the option that does not harm them.
“They have no time to eat, and nutrition is not a priority to them; therefore, they’re not paying attention to what they are eating. There is a small number of disordered eating, but not usually to the extent of eating disorders,” said Fung. “Also, the less-then-optimal healthy way of eating is also partly the result of not knowing that some foods look healthy, but they are not, and also the general lack of nutrition knowledge.”
Healthy diet, according to “CDC-Dietary guidelines for Americans 2010, diet which emphasizes eating foods rich in fiber, potassium, vitamin-D, calcium such as beans, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts and low fat milk and milk products, and also Low in saturated fats, cholesterol, trans-fat, salt and added sugars, within a day calorie need”. But if you were taking more dairy, little servings of vegetables, fruits, and proteins, and then piling up as many fats, grains and superfluous oils, you are accurately near to the depiction of modern American diet. Yes unhealthy diet is a major contributor to poor health and health disparities.
Unhealthy Behavior is not in a state of good or normal health, in an unsound, weak, or unhealthy condition. Being a healthy person does not mean only being healthy in diet and being physically healthy. Mentally healthy is also part of being a healthy person. Unhealthy Behavior may not affect you physically however, there is always chance of affecting mentally. One of my Unhealthy Behavior is no doctor’s checkup. Regular health exams and tests can help find problems before they start which is the main reason behind the check ups. By getting check up and the right health services and treatments, it helps your chances for living a longer, healthier life. Stressing out is another unhealthy behavior which keeps me away to become a healthy
In conclusion, the reason why people are overweight is because of the sugar and artificial products. If they start to eat natural foods instead of man made foods, you will have physical health to the max. If you have good physical health, you get good mental/emotional health. If you have good mental/emotional health, you will have good social health. Finally, if you have good social health, you then go back to good physical health. By having all sides of the triangle, it gives you the best health and will make your life full of happiness. But the reason why people are continuing to buy man made products is because they don’t know the reason why they became overweight. If they realize what they are consuming every day, they could change their view on man made foods and consider eating natural products.
Face it, we have all heard the phrase,"You are what you eat" countless times in your life, but what does that truly mean. Every few months or years, millions go into trying new diets and diet pills but fail to understand why they cannot continue to eat healthy after their first few days on their new diet. Well, 1) the word "DIE" is in diet 2) no matter where you look you 're going to find delicious food ads and junk food and 3) you don 't have support.
You must eat better in order to be healthy. Healthy living is better than looking unhealthy and eating less. To me, I feel there is no fulfillment in eating less. Having weight loss is great for some people, but you also must be mindful of what your body needs and not what you think it needs. Dieting isn’t a great route for Americans, because they think it’s eating less of what your body needs and ignore the fats.
In the article, “Unhealthy Diet Problems,” Holly Case states that unhealthy diets are starting to go up and this will cause many health problems in the future. Being a college student, living with other college students and being constantly surrounded by others just like myself has given me a lot of insight on the views and mindset of health and the “college life”. I have not always been the fittest or healthiest person in the world, but I have been lucky enough and one of the few that was able to turn myself around almost based solely on self-discipline and self-motivation. However, I realize how hard this path can be and understand it is not for everyone. I think the best ideas I could have on pointing my fellow collegiate students to live a healthier and fitter lifestyle would be in three simple, yet major ways. My plan to promote a fitter and healthier lifestyle among college students would be
