“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view…Until you climb his skin, and walk around in it.” (Lee 30) The story takes place in a small town called Maycomb, which is in Alabama. It happened and started in the late 1930s in “The Great Depression”. The main characters are Scout, Jem, and Atticus . Scout is the youngest and the most maturing one, the perspective was from her point of view. Jem is the eldest and cares a lot about everything that Scout faces. Atticus is the father of Jem and Scout, and he works as a lawyer in Maycomb, who helps black people. The trail in the novel “To Kill A MockingBird” affect Scout, Atticus and Jem because it taught them bravery, equality, and how to face injustice. …show more content…

There’s something in our world that makes men lose their head’s- they couldn’t be fair if they tried. In our courts, when it’s white man’s word against a black man’s, the white always wins. They’re ugly, but those are the facts of life.”(Lee 224) This trial had taught Jem how to face injustice just like his father “Atticus”. It taught him like if someone had abused him or insulted him for something he didn’t do, how to face it. The trial affected Jem because by this trial it can cause corruption in the world by the racism and segregation. It taught him how to face bigger problems, and worse than getting abused or corrupted. The exploratory of the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” influenced the character Jem, Scout and Atticus because it educated in them bravery, equality and how to face injustice. People should always be fair with each other so no racism nor segregation can happen if it happened the world will be corrupted and there will be no fairness for black, so because there is no fairness they’re life’s will get ruined because of the fear that has been created inside
