Based on the article, lack of affordable housing and the limited housing have caused the homelessness. Due to the housing are limited, so the owner will increase the rent as they can get more profit. Therefore, it has caused the people who have low-income unable to afford the high rent as a result thy have no choice except sleeping at public spaces. Besides, poverty is one of the causes of homelessness. To illustrate my point, poor people normally unable to pay for their basic necessities. For example, housing, child care, health care, education, food. They have to make a decision between these limited resources. Housing usually cost the most so often poor people will give up their housing to ensure they are able to pay for other necessities. The next cause of homelessness is lack of job opportunities. The rate of unemployment remaining high in the United States because of unstable economy, it causes the people were hard to get a job.
