Curiosity is my Passion The buzz of the frenzied crowd swarmed around me and the thick, sweltering heat made it difficult to breathe. Layers of silk and patterned fabric lined the mats of the flea market, setting it ablaze with bright colors. In front of me, I noticed an old deck of cards, an antique pocket watch, and a pile of yellow Curious George books. As I was about to move on, something behind those books caught my eye. "How much is that worth?" I asked the man behind the table. "What, this? It's thirty bucks," he replied with a surprised intonation. "But you do know it's a broken laptop, right?" I finally had the chance to find out what was inside a laptop. Retrieving my set of screwdrivers, I began opening it. As I removed the back panel, I discovered that the hard drive and the memory were tightly compacted in the left corner of the ThinkPad. It fascinated me how a palm-sized 250 gigabyte Seagate hard drive could hold thousands of snapshot memories. After taking out about a dozen more screws and removing the hinge that held the plastic keyboard together, I encountered a wide array of wires and colorful cables. I marveled at the intricacies involved in making a laptop operate. It required the cohesive communication between the motherboard and hard drive, memory and keyboard. Exploring the Intel WLAN PA3375U Wireless card, I realized that the green piece of silicon was the reason I was able to connect to the internet and spend countless hours on Facebook and CNN. I continued to disassemble the laptop, exploring every corner of the ThinkPad. All the while, I pondered the uses and functionality of each part. Screws scattered all over the table, components jumbled in a mess, only then did the thought occur to me that putting the laptop back together was going to be
