1. In your own words, summarize the five goals of professionalism presented in Chapter 1 of the Morrison course text and explain your understanding of how each goal "plays a powerful role in determining who and what a professional is" (Morrison, 2013, p. 4). Cite references to the readings and video programs to support your answers. 1.The five goals that are in the Morrison text is 1.) Child development and learning. This includes knowing how to promoting the child’s development and learning. You need to understand the child’s needs, their charters, and their multiple intelligence. You need to develop a healthy, a very respectful, supportive, and a good learning environment. You need to have a good developmentally appropriate lesson plans and things to do. 2.) Building of the family and community relationships. You need to make sure to involve and be able to advocate for the families and the parents and you do this by making sure the you understand the characteristics of each family, child, and the community that you are involved in. You need to make sure you collaborate with the support of the family. Families are all different and we need to respect each child and family. 3.) Observing, Documenting, and Assessing to Support children and families this is your responsibility to assess, collect information about a child’s behavior, learning, their needs and the achievement and their progress academically.
