The Age of Enlightenment was a European revolution that glorified reasoning and paved the way towards bright ideas in mathematics, the sciences, and in civil rights. From scientists to philosophers, the Enlightenment thinkers sought out to eradicate the ignorance and superstition in European society throughout the 17th and 18th centuries.
