The Effects of UFO's on People Almost every civilization in history that has kept a written history has recorded the sightings of strange objects and lights in the skies. These objects have been described as glowing wheels, colored balls of light, and disk shaped objects. Today unexplained aerial phenomena are generally referred to as unidentified flying objects (UFO's) or flying saucers. The effects of extra terrestrial sightings can have an adverse effect on people if influenced the wrong way. No solid proof has shown that UFO's are real, but many sightings cannot be proven otherwise. The media, stories, or one's own experience may often influence what one believes. The government once stated that they had captured extra terrestrials. (60 minutes, CBS) On the contrary, most scientists now agree that almost all sightings and stories of extra terrestrials are not authentic. The United States government has records of thousands of UFO sightings since 1948, including photos of alleged UFOs and interviews with people who claim to have seen them. Since UFOs were considered a potential security risk, the report on these sightings was originally classified as secret. (Craig, 917) When the report was later declassified it showed that 90 percent of all UFO sightings could be easily explained. Most of the sightings turned out to be celestial objects, such as stars or bright planets like Venus, or atmospheric events such as auroras or meteors falling through the atmosphere. Many other sightings turned out to be objects such as weather balloons, satellites, aircraft lights, or formations of birds. Often these sightings were accompanied by unusual weather conditions. Only 5.6 percent of these cases were not explained. Testimonies by people are often very inaccurate and dramatized. People have the tendency to explain everything they see, which is not usually completely accurate. The unaided human eye can be tricked into hallucination and has an inaccurate depth perception. Reflections from windows and eyeglasses can provide an optical illusion of a UFO. Radar is much more reliable to identify objects, but it cannot detect many characteristics that separate natural phenomena and physical objects. Radar often picks up ionized gas, rain, or thermal discontinuities. It is possible that this theorem will be proved wrong in the future, but until then all any person can do is guess, hope, and wait. What the future holds for Earth may not be what is expected, but until then scientists will be examining all the evidence to help provide a better future for the home to life as we now know it. We must start from the premise that−in all likelihood−we are already wrong. And not “wrong” in the sense
The Area 51 military base has been one of America’s most controversial places. Controversies ranging from unidentified flying objects (UFO’s), alien sightings to highly advanced military technology. Recently, the CIA has declassified some documents and acknowledged the existence and the development of the spy planes, but deny any UFO’s or alien sightings (or experimentations). However, there are still many people who believe in the conspiracies of UFO’s and aliens, they believe the CIA hasn’t been fully honest, and that there is much more than what they are telling.
Alien abduction stories have always held a strong interest among people all over the world, captivating our attention and curiosity as they propose yet another unsolved mystery of gigantic proportions and unthinkable consequences for humanity to contemplate. More so in modern times, and especially in the western world, where the media is a more significant part of culture, many science fiction novelists and screen writers brought out the issue to the public in the form of entertainment. This, due its widespread appeal, gave these stories a certain level of credulity among the masses, and sparked curiosity for closer investigation.
Ever look up at the sky and just wonder if there is life anywhere else? Have you seen anything in the sky that is almost unexplainable? What if your thoughts really came true? The thought of the existence of aliens seems to have been around since the beginning of time. There is one incident in particular that really hits home when talking about the subject, the UFO incident of Roswell, New Mexico.
Roswell, New Mexico is a widely known city for one reason in particular. Roswell is known as the home town of the UFO that crashed on a sheep farm back in 1947. The time period in which the event occurred in Roswell, New Mexico, began with the sighting of the UFO in 1947 and is still nationally talked about today. The news hit great big with the Roswell UFO incident and was a big story for a couple of years on the mystery of what it could have been. The press began to die down after the government dropped their original story with the public. Once things died down with questioning the government on their every move, the government began doing test very similar to the original incident that brought the UFO incident back up almost ten years after
Paranormal sightings should be taken into consideration because there could be other things among us, besides humans in this world. Also if ghosts think you are harming them, they could actually appear right under you. Furthermore ghosts can appear in different shapes and sizes. For instance ufos should also be taken seriously because they appear in the sky. Ghosts also like to play tricks on the human mind. When a person dies there spirit can get stuck in the middle of the universe. Ghosts don't haunt all cemeteries, but they still rest in peace. In studies around the world people have actually seen, and heard ghosts in there house or at cemetery's. Finally ghosts are interesting to study because it facinates the human mind.
Paranormal Activity is similar to pseudoscience and involves experiences outside of science (Hines, 2003). However, there is another side to these strange occurrences which includes UFOs, alien contact, and the appearance of unusual creatures. According to Imbrogno (2008) “No matter how skeptical you are, there are three things that cannot be denied: that reports of paranormal experiences exist, that they persist, and they are increasingly occurring on a global scale” (pg.16). According to Hines (2003) “Paranormal phenomena includes extrasensory perception (ESP), telekinesis, ghosts, poltergeists, life after death, reincarnation, faith healing, human auras, and so forth” (pg.20). The term UFOs, unidentified flying objects, is the reported sighting of any object or arrangement of lights that do not have a logical or natural explanation. The first reported incident in America occurred in 1947, when an amateur pilot, Kenneth Arnold, made claims of a sighting while flying his small plane near Mount Rainier in Washington which caused the U.S. government to begin searching for extraterrestrials (Stephey, 2009). Moreover, Chinese texts from the 4th century make claims of a “moon boat” that visited once every 12 years hovering above the country to become the earliest sighting in recorded history (Stephey, 2009). Although issues such as speed, shape, and size continues to differs, the U.S. Air Force commissioned Project Blue Book, an official record of sights that occurred in the U.S. from 1952 to 1969 logging over 12,000 sightings or events involving UFOs.
Some nights I lay awake thinking about the future—thinking about the cities that haven’t been built, the planets that haven’t been found, and the people that I will never get to meet. I am scared for those people.
In the first story, “ufo in kushiro,” Komura is a man going through a mid-life crisis. After an earthquake hits Japan, his wife decides to leave him - leaving him shocked and confused. To help combat his depression, his co-worker sends him on an all-expenses-paid vacation to deliver a package to a woman named Shimao who lives in Kushiro. Shimao tries to solicit sex from Komura, but he declines. But this intimacy with her enables him to feel comfortable opening up to Shimao. Komura says, “‘There’s nothing inside me, I guess’”(22). Shimao, a supportive person, replies, ‘“I don’t know whether you’ve got something inside you, but I think you’re terrific”’(22-23). Shimao’s encouragement reminds Komura that he has self-worth. Shimao says, ‘“I feel
The article by Jared Diamond called “The End of The World as We Know Them” explains to us we have the chance to change our future from previous civilianization like Mayans. One alternative that we can infer is a stronger focus on benefiting the earth and not our self. For example instead of using war to gain more resources from other countries and cause more damage to other civilization, we should all live in peace and live natural energy from the sun like solar panels. If we keep the ground that we live on, we can keep our lives that we dwell on.

...on. God knows what he is doing and He will reveal and answer any doubts about whatever subject we are dealing with at his own time an whenever he wants to enlighten us.
For half a century the subject of UFO has been discussed by scientists, ecologists, politicians, and common people around the world. It seems paradoxical, but the main question of their discussion concerns existence or non-existence of UFO itself, so many people is not sure that the very subject of their debate really exists. I share the opinion of those who do not believe in UFO saying that this phenomenon has not been scientifically proved, and everything its adherents operates is conjecture and fantasy, and disconnected stories of those who allegedly have seen UFO are far from scientific explanation of the event.
Unidentified Flying Objects: Fact or Fiction? Unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, as they're fondly called, are one of the century's most intriguing and controversial mysteries. Since ancient times, UFOs of all types have been accounted for. More today than ever, hundreds of thinkers, theologians, and scientists have tried to answer why there are or whether there aren't UFOs. According to some, the speculation that UFOs are alien spacecrafts from another world is an absurd and foolish proposal.
