The Downfall of Romeo and Juliet Act three scene one will be my main aid, for in this essay I will discuss the downfall of Romeo and Juliet. Now… The capulet and the Montague’s are two profound families of Verona, both of which have been feuding for donkey’s years; Romeo Montague is deeply in love with rosaline. He then finds out about the capulet ball, he see’s a capulet servant with an invite and decides to gatecrash with Benvolio.At the ball Romeo spots Juliet for the first time, they kiss. Tybalt recognises Romeos voice and want to kill him. Later Romeo climbs the vines to Juliet’s window to meet Juliet they decide to get married the next day. Romeo is challenged to a fight with Tybalt on his way back. Romeo denies as he is now related to Tybalt through Juliet. Romeos friend mercutio fights Tybalt instead, but is killed by him. Romeo then kills Tybalt. The price banishes Romeo. Romeo goes to see Juliet but has to flee, Juliet is told she has to marry Paris; Friar Lawrence gives Juliet a sleeping drug. She takes it that night, and is found ”dead” the next morning. The letter friar Lawrence sent Romeo about the plan does not reach him. Romeo hears of Juliet’s death and rushes back to Verona. He buys some poison and goes to Juliet’s tomb; he drinks the poison and dies. Juliet wakes and sees Romeo, dead. She refuses to leave with friar Lawrence, and instead, stabs herself with Romeos dagger. Their parents arrive, and agree to stop fighting.
