The story that interested me the most is The Devil and Tom Walker. This story really struck something inside of me because of how greedy someone could be. I knew that there was greedy people out there but to make a deal with the devil to be rich is just plain wrong. I would not say this story was a pleasant experience for me, but it certainly was an interesting experience. I would say that this story interested me because it showed me how greedy people can be, how inconsiderate people can be and how rude people can be. The devil was the worse, forcing Tom to do what he wants him to do just so he can be rich. Killing his wife and wrapping her heart and liver in her apron? That is gross. The message I received was that you cannot make a deal with someone who you know is mean and unruly. You cannot expect to have money dropped from the sky, and make yourself happy. Money doesn’t mean happiness; money can make someone who is already mean and greedy, even more mean and greedy. I’ve been sitting here thinking about the question if this story can be compared to other stories I’ve read. But to tell you the truth the last story I’ve read is The Fault in our Stars. Otherwise I’m reading autobiography’s, such as Binge. This book was amazing because he came out of the closet, after being bullied. I can relate to that book because I too was bullied and it hurts a lot. For me the characters were unrealistic, I really honestly couldn’t picture anything like this happening in my mind. I have tried and I apologize I couldn’t picture it. It just wasn’t something I could see anyone doing. I mean I can see picture being greedy and you hear all of these people scamming others out of their money, but I can’t see the devil actually appearing. Unless you want to call the scammers the devil then yes I can picture
