His Declaration

Remember that Maratha brought up the resurrection as an event! She said, I know that He shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day! But Jesus wanted Martha to know and He wants you and I to know that the resurrection is not just an event but the resurrection is a person. Jesus declares His person! Jesus said:

I am the resurrection and the life! He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall He live! There is life after death in Christ! Jesus declares his power! And whosoever loveth and believeth in me shall never die.

Thank God for this declaration. Jesus is the resurrection and life! To be present in the body is to be absent from the Lord!

Rappers with filthy language and words of death are pallbearers. Drug dealers selling you drugs are pallbearers. Gangsters are pallbearers. They are not armor bearers but pallbearers. In the text David had some pallbearer that wanted to stone him. But thank God David went to an armor bearer. He went to the priest Abiathar somebody with some spiritual sense! David said to him, “Bring me the ephod.” The ephod was a vest that the priest wore! David was saying it’s time to seek God! He chose worship over warfare! David believed if I can worship, I can hear from God. If I can get into God’s presence I can get revelation. “Just ‘information’ plus ‘inspiration’ is evaporation, but ‘revelation’ plus ‘inspiration’ is
