This is Bryant’s first year with the Cubs. Kris has mostly been known for his offensive plays. He has had a total of 42 homeruns this entire season along with 110 RBI’s. Which puts his batting average at .292 in the regular season and .308 in the post season. Kris Bryant was named the National League Most Valuable Player in the post season. No matter what Joe Maddon needed Bryant to do, you could count on him to play to the best of his abilities. At the beginning of the season, Kyle Schwarber, left fielder was a key player in the outfield until his collision with Jason Heyward, right fielder. This collision took Schwarber out for the entire season with a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee in the third game of the season. Which is why Ben Zobrist then moved to left field like I previously stated. Ben stepped up to the position and conquered it all season and post season. His amazing adaptability to the position along with his incredible offense earned him the World Series Most Valuable Player. His batter average was .272 in the regular season and .250 in the post season. Offensively, Zobrist this entire season hit 18 home runs and 81 RBI’s. (Player Statistics.) Center fielder, Dexter Fowler was a great player defensively with a strong arm to through from far out in center field to the bases. He has hit 13 home runs and 48 RBI’s this entire season.
