Dr.Seuss's The Butter Battle Book is one of the best books he has written. His funny books and crazy characters always amuse his readers. His books give a greater meaning, you must actually read in depth to find that meaning. The Butter Battle Book is a book about two groups, the Yooks and the Zooks fighting for which side of the bread butter should be spread. Dr.Seuss is the best book writer because he uses easy to understand words, there's an exceptional use of rhyming, imagery, and a use of setting that really ties the whole theme of the story together.
One literary device that Dr.Seuss used in The Butter Battle Book was rhyming. In The Butter Battle Book the Yooks and Zooks were fighting over which side of the bread you spread your butter on. For instance Seuss writes,“In every Zooks house in every Zooks town, every Zook eats his bread with the butter side down!”(7). This is a great use of rhyming and it flows which makes it easier to read. Suess also writes,“With my broken-off switch, with my head hung in shame,to the Chief Yookeroo in great sorrow i
So in the story there's a wall that divides both the Yooks and Zooks but the wall is just tall enough to see over. The town is in the middle off some rollings hills with beautiful green grass and beautiful truffula trees. The chief Yookeroo is the leader of the Yooks and in the beginning his office is clean there's a few pieces of paper on his desk. Throughout the book every time he goes back to the office it's messier and messier. The setting for this book is perfect, it is set in a place where two people are fighting over something.
Dr.Seuss’s The Butter Battle Book Is a great story told with many devices. Rhyming, imagery and setting was best used in The Butter Battle Book. He wants the reader to know war gets nowhere. That neither side is better than the other while both sides are identical but different in their own
