Together in faith, a man and women create an ultimate bond once married. In the poster, I decided to display this connection through a few images and a phrase. Specifically, I placed the large picture of a couple holding hands at the altar to signify the love a man and a woman share together in marriage. Furthermore, I chose the image of the two hearts linked together to display the bond that two individuals in love share. The cross and rings next to it symbolize a marriage in faith as love is projected to each spouse and to God. Moreover, the image of the Bible highlights the importance that readings, gospels, and psalms have in a marriage as they describe God’s meaning of love and connection. Metanarrative Essay The Biblical metanarrative can be explained by a Christian as the true and triumphant story from the beginning in Genesis until the future is prophesied in Revelation. Others who may not be a Christian do not understand the true power and love God has over us and for us and may just simply see it as a story or a rule book that they don’t want to follow. They see the Bible and all the things and plans God has for us and our lives and just think they don’t want any part of it and instead they live in sin. It is important that these people not only learn the true story but understand it as well.

In the beginning the Bible brings two things to focus. The two things that are focused on is the setting and the main characters of the Bible (Professor Smallbones). The Bible opens in Genesis 1 with God creating. God creates light, the earth, the sun, living creatures, and many other things, but most importantly God creates humans. The bible comes in a variety of truths. These truths are scientific truth, historical truth, symbolic truth, proverbial truth, moral truth, and religious truth. In the bible these truths are expressed through different types of literary forms such as myths, law, and apocalyptic writings. These different truths are understood and recognized by some but not to others. While a story in the bible may not be true, they have a symbolic meaning behind it, some people may not see the symbolic meaning and see the story as set in stone. These types of people are called literalists.
The book of Matthew chapter 5 through 7 was known as, “The Sermon on the Mount”. Which were words spoken by Jesus Christ. The purpose of this Sermon was to show representation of the normative foundation of Christian Morality. For instance, this passage was more so fixated on whole hearted benevolence towards others around you and genuine devotion to God.
Human beings are not isolated individuals. We do not wander through a landscape of trees and dunes alone, reveling in our own thoughts. Rather, we need relationships with other human beings to give us a sense of support and guidance. We are social beings, who need talk and company almost as much as we need food and sleep. We need others so much, that we have developed a custom that will insure company: marriage. Marriage assures each of us of company and association, even if it is not always positive and helpful. Unfortunately, the great majority of marriages are not paragons of support. Instead, they hold danger and barbs for both members. Only the best marriages improve both partners. So when we look at all three of Janie’s marriages, only her marriage to Teacake shows the support, guidance, and love.
Kaisha and I wanted to express our unity in this sort of way because we felt inspired by God to because of how attached Christ was to the church and how marriage should be like Christ (the husband) is with the church (the wife). The academic study of the Hebrew Bible encompasses thousands of scholars from around the world. These scholars use various methods developed by other disciplines in order to study ancient texts along with other approaches that are distinctive to the biblical studies.
Throughout history, people and entire societies have heard of the Gospel. The Gospel is the considered to be the “heart” of the Biblical Narrative. In other words, the entire Bible centers around the Gospel and what the Gospel entails. Many have heard of the Gospel, but what lies deeper within the context of the Gospel message? People have heard of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John which are Biblical books in the New Testament that discuss Jesus’ life. They bring the reader from Jesus’ birth to His death in a chronological order. We can read about the miracles he performed and about all of the trials he faced in these books. However, the Gospel is about more than how Jesus lived and what he did. It is about why he came to earth and sacrificed himself and why this is important to us as humans. Through Him, we have been given the chance at eternal life. The Gospel is incredibly imperative to all lives and we must know how to interpret it before we can truly embrace it.

Micha represents a generation where all good things come in small screens, where satisfaction is based on speed, and where attention is unnecessary to succeed. This modern era has rejected patience and stillness for business and productivity, even when no end goal is in mind. It is in these time that the Bible has more to offer us than ever before.
The biblical narrative is one that is still going on to this day. The biblical narrative tells the story of God and how he reveals himself to us. Rhodes points out that “God comes to each through a historical event or series of events” (2). It is in this way that God reveals himself to us and this maintains the relevance of the biblical narrative in our lives. God reveals himself through formative stories in the bible such as Creation, Adam and Eve, the Fall of Man, The Flood, God’s Covenant with Noah, and the Tower of Babel. From the very beginning of the biblical narrative we see that God relates to us on a personal level. He created us, he formed us, he created the world in which we live, and he has been an active participant in the narrative since before it began.

Why do you study the Bible and how you can possibly consider it authoritative? Let us discuss this question so we are able to allow defense as stated in 1 Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect”.
