Fireworks cracking and lighting up the sky, hot dogs cooking on the grill, and a cold drink in a red, white, and blue paper cup. It is the forth of July, Independence day, the day Americans put all of their worries to the side to celebrate the freedom of the country that they live in, America. Those who live in the USA may experience more freedom and comfort then those who live in other parts of the world. America is highly praised for their education, diverse crowds, and socially accepting everyone despite their race, religion, or special needs. Many people from all over the world come to America to get a better education then the one being offered to them by their own country, mainly because of it's elite schools, endless study choices, and flexablility. Having the choice of where, what...
...diversity of America is what separates countries from the United States, America should still maintain a high level or education and be an example for all countries as America has always been.
Students in America have been taught about the history of America, about Christopher Columbus had found it and he was detector. Day by day America becomes the biggest, strongest, the most powerful and civility country in the world. Therefore, people want to come to America for a better life. At first, they were very welcome because more immigrants meant cheaper labor. Not for a long time, Americans claimed that immigrants made Americans lost their jobs, for this reason they became resentment, especially Chinese immigrants and they passed through Chinese Exclusion Act 1882 and prohibited entry to Chinese laborers. Americans started to limit immigrants from many countries, they built Angel Island and Ellis Island for this
July 4th, 1776, the U.S gained independence from Great Britain. This day was a very special day for all of America, but nobody noticed the real issue.America had freedom, but the government needed to figure out how to keep the rights and liberties of all of its citizens. They thought the articles of confederation was a weak document and needed to be changed. America needed to keep its rights and liberties so they wouldn't live like they did when Britain ruled over them.
America is said to be the land of opportunities, freedom and equality for all. People began migrating to America since over 70 years ago in search of a better life. In earlier times Europeans migrated to the New World/America with the desire of making something better of themselves. Some people migrated to obtain land, and some migrated for an opportunity to live a more prosperous life. In the last ten years immigration to American has been composed of mainly Mexican immigrants. Many people for decades have seen America as a wonderful country that offers everything one needs. Since American is perceived as such utopia those people suffering of poverty, corruption, and/or violence in their country have a desire to move to America and establish a new life here. The United States (USA) today is composed of over 11 million illegal immigrants from all over the world, but mainly Mexico.
The story “The Fourth of July” by Audre Lorde demonstrates that she comes across a realization that she had to speak up for her rights and independence when she visited the capital city of the United States, Washington, D.C. Lorde explains how she was frustrated with the situation that occurred in Washington, D.C., which shows that she had learned the reality of the society. She writes about many things that she came across during the trip to Washington D.C. in the summer vacation. In the essay, the meanings of independence for Lorde are to fight for it and to speak up for the rights that they deserve. Lorde and her family visit many places in the capital city where they were told to leave the place because black people were not allowed there.
Every year on the 4th of July we celebrate the birth of the United States by our declaring independence from England. While this event is a source of pride and its legacy contributes to what it means to be an American, I believe many people do not fully appreciate the events that led up to and followed the founding of our country. The outcome of the Revolutionary War was a profound adjustment for almost everybody in the New World. It was favorable for some, and yet put others at a severe disadvantage. To more fully appreciate our tradition to celebrate our independence we have to recognize the significance of the circumstances that brought our nation into rebellion and the consequences of our victory after the war.
America is known famously throughout the world with the nickname 'The melting pot.' The reason behind this is that America is extremely diverse and has many different people. Immigrants give America the chance to know the culture of many countries. They bring in their culture, religion, economic benefits, and ideology to America. I believe that the United States should allow legal immigrants from all over the world because they bring many benefits to it. Immigrants are a positive influence on United States of America.
Every year on the Fourth of July, we celebrate America's independence. We celebrate the day our forefather, a group of patriotic and unwavering men signed a Declaration of Independence. I’m a hardworking citizen who is currently a college student with Immigrant Parents. The amount of disadvantages for a family are indeed absolutely immense. Some of these disadvantages involve low income, college struggles, and health sacrifices. Motivations is certainly a key factor of my drive and has played a huge factor in my life.
Fourth of July is a time where family comes together to enjoy great food and see great fireworks. Coming from Puerto Rico I didn’t know the meaning of Fourth of July, my family and I just knew what to plan out. It means so much more when knowing the history on it because this day means a lot to this country. Many Americans forget that we have so much freedom to live our lives they way we choose to, it’s a time where we remind each other that this is the land of the free. The very first Fourth of July experience I had was at my aunt’s house; she was the only one in the family that was living in the United States.
America is where "all men" are equally created. Individuals have the right to live without anyone telling or denying them the American Dream that everyone is trying to reach. As a human being comes to America to have a successful path to keep the family in a good economic standing and future generations to prosper in their future encounters. Many people come to America because it is the only country that is mainly multi-cultural. No one should deport people out of the country if the certain culture of America is found on people moving from their home country to find something new. There is a possible outcome of failure and crimes as any other country deals with, but that should not stop people to envision the big picture. Although there is an increase of terrorism act, open borders being allow would make a great impact because Americans can learn a better understanding of other cultures, there is an economic increase, and everyone is allowed to achieve the American dream.
The students even plan on living here and starting their new lives with a viable career plan, maybe even start a family; but entrance into the US is a difficult process because you have to attain a visa and apply for a green card to remain in the states. People in underdeveloped countries wait for decades to finally have a chance in coming here and have better lives; back home they probably earn mediocre wages or don’t have the essential background to attain a job. In reference to the reverse brain drain, this phenomenon is called the brain drain. “Land of opportunity” has been one of the many motto’s America has lived by and that is why everybody is trying migrate into the US; but the people who received the chance to study and live in America are now planning on making a u-turn back to where they came from because America has failed to meet their expectations of a land of
People around the world are coming to the U.S.A because people realize that there countries schools are getting to overfilled that they want to come to a more larger country . Then the people who are affected of this issue immigrate to the U.S to get away from the problem. Then more people do the same thing causing the U.S’s schools to become overpopulated just like the other places around the world like Japan or China.
