Computer Science The field of computer science consists of many subdivisions, but they all entail the same info and same requirements in order to get the job done. As a computer engineer a person needs to be able to set up networks, Wide Area Networks(WAN), Local Area Networks(LAN), and intranets. Many of these subdivisions include computer network architects, computer and informations system manager, computer systems analysts, database administrators, information security analysts, network and computer systems administrators, and computer and information research scientist. The computer scientist designs the network and implements it, and meets the requirements of the company. Computer scientist are “critical parts of almost every organization” in developing the environment(Network and Computer Systems Administrator). The hours of a computer scientist vary job to job, but in general they work “about...more than 40 hours per week in 2014,” which is a full time job(Computer Network Architects). There are some instances of working part time, but in most instances the are full time. For a computer scientist “the median annual wage for information security analysts was $92,600 in May 2016.” peak points can go up to 145,000 a year and a low average being 55,000(Information Security Analyst). There are many job openings in urban areas more than rural areas. There is not a usual pay difference just that urban have more job openings. The most job openings for a computer scientist are in urban areas, because there is more technology that needs to be implemented. In this field there are bound to be people that have a larger amount of certifications compared to others. The person that is more qualified is bound to get the job over other applicants, but it doesn’t mean that they will get a higher pay. They usually just end up being payed the same amount as other computer scientist in the work force. As for the employment of computer scientist the field is constantly growing at a very fast rate, because more and more people are starting to purchase technology which means more people need assistance. Infact, this is the fastest growing field of occupation with a projected growth of “21 percent from 2014 to 2024,” and that is just expected numbers when they could be possibly much higher than that(Computer Systems Analysts).
