In our worlds and in our society, books and reading have become very popular and have a big impact on today’s world and education. Books are all around us and are always being read and some people choose to challenge and/or banned them from places such as a school library.At any given time, a teacher, student, parent, or administrator can be reading a book and think it is explicit or offensive in any way then they can choose to go to someone and see about getting the book removed from the library. Books get banned for all kinds of reasons. They usually are banned for using offensive language, sexually explicit, and unsuited to any age group. Today teachers and librarians have to be careful with what materials they order and give to students, but this is something that will continue. Parents also have to be very involved in their child’s education so they are aware of what their child is learning in school and what they are reading. This is also another example of the book “Brave New World” because parents always want to be informed if the book that they are reading may be harmful to some of their children. Parents never want to find out from another source what their child is learning in school that they think could not be appropriate. Book censorship might not have as much affect in the future on education because technology will have taken over. Since technology has had such a big impact on education, parents would have to be more informed and more aware of what their child is looking on the internet. Resources for students are at the tip of there fingertips and although we can ban books from the library, we cannot ban them from being on the internet. Parents would have to be even more aware of what their child is looking at on the internet because it is now at the tip of everyone’s fingers that I can only imagine how much access ever. When I am a teacher I plan on becoming a preschool teacher which I don’t think it would carry such an impact on my students or on myself. I will be reading my students books but they will be about the basics and teaching all of the fine motor skills, such as, color, numbers, animals, and places. Most books that are read at this age aren’t anything like the ones you read in high school or have any of the problems that high school books run into. Therefore, I don’t see any chance of anyone banning the preschool books that preschools would be listening
