Before the arrival of Spanish conquistadors in the 16th century, Chile was home to the Inca tribe in the north and the Mapuche ruled central and southern Chile. Overtime the Spanish began to take over and drive out the native people. The Spanish ruled Chile until they were driven out in the War of The Pacific in the early 1800’s. Over the next few centuries Chile's governance was very unstable, changing rulers and governments every few decades. Things began to settle down starting in 1990 when Chile inaugurated a freely elected president. With this new government system Chile saw steady economic growth, the poverty rate was cut in half, and it began to establish itself as a stable, democratic nation. In January 2014, Chile acquired a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2014-2015 term (Central Intelligence Agency, 2014).
The Chilean economy is market oriented meaning that it has a lot of foreign trade and has also established itself as a home for strong financial institutions earning it the strongest sovereign bond rating in South America (Central Intelligence Agency, 2014). Exporting goods and natural resources accounts for approximately one third of Chile’s Gross Domestic Product and copper provides 19 percent of the government’s revenue, making it the world’s leading producer of copper (Heritage Foundation, 2014). Chile’s other export...

Another issue that Chile has to face is the possibility of volcanic eruptions and subsequent ash clouds. If a major eruption occurs in Chile it could greatly affect the air travel in and out of Chile for a long time. The last major eruption occurred in 2011 and not only grounded flights in Chile but also Australia and New Zealand as the ash cloud was blown a great distance (Williams, 2011).

Latin America went through many years of colonial rule from Spain, but around the 1800’s they began to seek their independence. The years to follow were full of rebellion and war, trying to gain their independence from colonial Spain. The “Americanos”, now believed that they were able to rule themselves, and that it was no longer necessary for Spain to keep controlling the Americas. When Latin America finally defeated Spain, new issues began to arise that were caused by many years of war, which led to chaos and a sense of imbalance in the hands of Latin America. Many of these struggles impeded Latin America’s success to rule themselves, and create their own democracy. Some of the main challenges and struggles that were most predominant in the independence of Latin America, was the economic instability caused by many years of war, the burden of colonialism from Spain, and the strong hand of the caudillos.
Daily life in Chile depends on where you are located within the country. With it being almost 4500 miles long, the geography, the culture, and even the economy depends on the location. The north end, closest to Peru, is known for its agricultural resources, especially in mining. The central part, specifically Santiago, which is the nation’s capital and where most of Chile’s population is located, is the center of business. The south though, is colder, with thick forests that make growing seasons short. Despite the large differences even nation-wide, Chile is growing quickly. In 2013, Bloomberg found that “Chile’s economy grew by 5.5% in the last year—faster than predicted, and significant growth during a period when much of the world has seen only [small] economic expansion. (Gaiser) Chile is seen as one of the best South American countries, even with a smaller population. It has a population of about 16.8 million in 2013, 6th largest in South America. Aviation has come a long way since the 19th century, from the Wright brothers taking flight with the first powered and controlled gliders, to aircraft that can travel up to supersonic speeds, orbiting satellites and space stations which then were only thought to be science-fiction. Aerospace and aviation has proven to be one of the biggest challenges to advance in the entirety of human existence. There are many factors and characteristics that contributed to this advancement such as the engines of aircraft, forces of flight, aerodynamic forces, wingspans etc. The two most significant aspects however have been; World War 1 and World War 2.
In Wellington there is a volcano that is next to an enormous fault. This could erupt at any time and if it does there will be disastrous results. 50 volcanoes surround the popular city of Auckland. In some places there is so much molten rock that the volcano could go underwater. If the water gets in, the whole city could be destroyed.
Before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors in South America Chile was mostly inhabited by the Incas, and the Mapuche, they lived in the more Southern parts of Chile. The Incas thrived and built massive civilizations in the Andes mountains, that make up most of Chile today. In 1539 the Spanish wiped out the Incas and claimed the land of Chile for Spain. During the year of 1810 Chile declared its independence from Spain. Although its conclusive victory was in 1818 during the War of the Pacific. Chile soon fought and won against Bolivia and Peru to achieve its present northern regions. Soon the Mapuche were brought under the central government control. In 1970 Salvador Allende was elected. Air travel has grown in the past decade. Travel grew strongly for both leisure and business purposes. India will have nearly 800 to 1000 airplanes by 2023, it was estimated by Airbus. In spite of growth between 30 to 50 per cent in Indian aviation industry, losses of approximately 2200 crore is estimated for the current year.
Tourism is an industry, with air transport becoming an indispensable factor. One major growing trend in airline industry is market globalization. People travel to other countries for both business and leisure purposes, leading to 7% increment in air travel per year. As a market is globalized, those involved will evolve into global customers who go in search of suppliers running on global base. This leads to a growth in business travel due to the global involvement of companies in terms of investments, production chain, supply and customers. Thus, the participation of air transport in facilitating the world trade is prodigious. Aviation implements another economic benefit of the air transport by providing consumer welfare to individuals while considering the environmental brunt such as the air quality, congestion and noise in the proximity of airports. Air transport being highly demanding has doubled the passenger numbers since the 1980s and over the last decade, it has increased by 45%. The huge growth and development of the aviation field has benefitted in heaps regarding
