After viewing the topic on learning to learn by Barbara Oakley. As well as considering the hand out on Ten Rules of Bad Studying and doing the quiz on “how good are you at teaching the art of learning?” These are then my impressions.
While the Professor and psychologist, Dr. Stephen Chew in, how to get the most out of learning, appears very controlled in his presentation, Barbara Oakley appears very much the opposite. She presents her presentation very appealing while using an example of a pinball machine as an educational tool to the audience. The mechanism is familiar with most people across diverse generations and cultures. It therefore helps to clarify the perspective she is hoping to pass on.

This perspective is based on the suggestion that this concept will help you focus better but it also allows you to shift in this defuse mode where the brain stays active on the topic but you seemly focus on more pleasant topics. Therefor with that in mind relaxing is becoming part of a learning habit.
For some of us who have a short attention window and while unable to concentrate while other thoughts come knocking at the door. This is not the worst that might happen to the suggestion of focusing. It will help to become creative and allowing alternative thinking patterns with new ideas. While working harder to learn a person will likely experience a better achievement in the end.
Exercise helps a patient with depression and depression symptoms as a chemical reaction creates a positive energy, this also works while creating learning habits. However I feel there could be made some arguments that two more answers could be applied to a question. Therefore question #2
