The French Revolution undeniably served as a major turning point in European politics and society. Although it may have lost its vision in the course of the revolution, France still brought an end to the ancien regime and changed the way the rest of Europe treated liberty. From its attempt at a more democratic society to its complete re-creation of culture, France tried to completely reinvent itself.
