The American Dream is an American's personal goal to their own definition of success, whether that would be living a life full of luxury, or finding true love. However, the American Dream also holds several obstacles along the way to slow one down from achieving it. Writings inspired by this include “A Worn Path,” “The Far and the Near,” and “The Turtle”. These works reflect the American Dream by demonstrating the struggles of obtaining a specific goal. Love between family is so strong that the struggles people go through do not compare to the fact that it was all for family.
