The 21st Century Enlightenment is a tribute to the 18th century founders of society and the inspiring pioneering spirit. It talks about RSA role and how it performs as an organization. The RSA debates the ideas and values that transform the world to being sufficient to solving the challenges that the world faces and new ways of thinking more influential. The RSA focus is to get the world to embrace core principles of autonomy, universalism and humanism, restoring dimensions to seeing new ways to fulfilling new ideas, society committing to stimulating new thinking, social innovation, and powerful ethos of collaboration (RSA, 2010). Enlightenment has shaped modern values, norms, and lifestyles. The original 18th century enlightenment was not a single cohesive movement nor simple to plan or finish (RSA, 2010). As the world learns to live up to another Enlightenment exhortation it recognizes the contingent nature of modern consciousness. Enlightenment has made us who we are today (Kant, 2009). In the last 250 years the human lives have changed dramatically, previously and through the entire 190,000 years of homo sapiens’ existence (Kant, 2009). The 21st Century Enlightenment core ideas are a process of cultural psychotherapy that has shaped the modern person values, norms, and lifestyles (RSA, 2010). The enlightenment thinking grew provoking many reactions and counter reactions in coffee shops, pulpits, and royal societies with very little impact on the majority of the rural and emerging industrial working class. The Enlightenment ideas were set back by conflict between reformist and radical variants (Israel, 2009). The rise of science and technology, the growth of market capitalism, the expansion of social tolerance and personal ... ... middle of paper ... ...ns with access to affordable health insurance, improve the quality of health care, and regulating the health industry. Lastly citizens need to be more pro-social, acting in ways that strengthens society through trust, care, and co-operation (Halpren, 2010). We need to live differently in the 21st Century we need to be resilient and prosperous. With the Government changing many of the laws and adopting laws to fit their agenda have caused much chaos. We have to be resilient to these changes recovering from elected leadership decision making. We rely on social order to make choices in our lives. As individuals we must make a strong effort in contributing our share to maintaining a healthy society by voting, putting back into the economy, facing challenges, speaking out, being a voice for those who are fearful of retaliation, having knowledgeable and being proactive.
