Do you ever just want to achieve a goal that you have had set for the longest time? Well, for about four years I have had a goal to become the team captain of the girl tennis team. I would, without doubt, become one of the two captains on the team. I am one of the most liked team members on the team along with my best friend Tessa. If we take a flashback back to freshman year where Tess and I first started out you would think we were playing baseball with how bad we were. Even though we were awful, we set a goal that we would one day become the captains and build an incredible team. Now, however, we have gotten ten times better than freshmen year, and things didn’t really go that way. Our coach would always say to us “your goal this year is to beat your last year’s self”. …show more content…

When the season started I knew I had to play better than I have ever played before because all of us girls are at the same level. So I was trying my hardest to smash over heads and volleys on the court. It almost seemed as though that coach wasn’t giving me any attention or helping me out ,but he was with everyone else. I would ask him to help me with my serves and he would just tell me to throw the ball higher and not even demonstrate anything. Throughout the tryout week it kept happening. When it came to talking about what teams we were on I didn’t know what to expect. My expectations were so high for myself, but I just block out all my current goals. Whatever happens in that meeting can’t be changed, so what’s the point in even trying to suck up to coach like everyone else on the
