The book Ten Little Indians was written by Sherman Alexie. Each chapter of the book is about a different Spokane Indian and their lives as an Indian. From the first chapter one can tell that the author has a serious issue when it comes to talking about anything sexual. Every chapter in the book mentions something that is severely sexual in nature or is a play by play of someone’s sex life. In the end, each chapter was extremely unique and most was hard to stop reading. In the first chapter, one notices the main character is a Spokane Indian names Corliss. She was attending a college, which was extremely fortunate for the people of her tribe. She absolutely loved poetry. One day while in the library she notices a book of poetry she had not seen before. It is told from the view of a father whose newborn son has to stay in the hospital for life threatening reasons. The entire time he is stressed out with his wife. He decided to go to a store he saw down the rad to by a toy for his baby when it wakes up. To his surprise, the store he thought that sold kids toys were actually adult toys store. He felt so embarrassed that he did not want to leave right off the bat. He desired to walk around a bit. He comes across a giant fifteen-inch black dildo named “Chocolate Thunder”. He decided to buy it and bring I back to his wife at the hospital. With a surprise, they actually start doing Indian drumming with it and wave it around while singing. The entire floor catches on and starts to get relaxed from all of the stress. The baby woke up and chocolate thunder was set with the baby crib. The complete thought of this chapter was puzzling to me. It was so amusing yet so disturbing at the same time. This just adds to why one could tell how twisted in the head the author
