In today’s society, I believe most people are infatuated with the mindset of being a perfectionist and with having that mindset, at the first sight of failure, people get very frightened and begin to run away from their goals and dreams, believing they did something wrong. I believe that is the exact opposite of how that situation should actually be handled. When one is met with failure in any situation, instead of wallowing in self-pity, use it as a tool or learning mechanism to get better in the future. For one to be truly successful, I believe failure is a necessary part of that because it teaches one what needs improved in the future, it keeps one humbled, and is mostly always temporary. When a situation presents itself where success is not fully apparent, instead of just taking that as a failed attempt and nothing more, use that as a guide for what does not work and what one can do to succeed the next time around. If the failed attempt is analyzed further, all that really is, is a blueprint for how to achieve success at whatever the task at hand is. The difference between the two is simple, temporary failure is getting knocked down or failing seven times but getting up eight times and refusing to give up, no matter how much pain is caused, until you win or achieve what you want to. Permanent failure is getting knocked down and not having the courage to try again. I believe permanent failure is non-existent until you quit prematurely or sell yourself short on your dreams and goals. “Pain is temporary, it may for a minute, or an hour, or a day, or even a year but eventually, it will subside.
