Social media has developed overtime by become popular networks that teens enjoy being on. How much can social media change your life? Teenagers depend on social media so much that can lead to negative side effects with leaving them with a lower education level, is the strongest addiction and can cause suicide.

As a teenager and being involved with technology comes with social networks. Social media illuminates the most important thing for teenagers which is school; they are busy trying to keep up with the newest trend. They tend to put homework and studying aside to try to be up to date with any social media they have. Teenagers think that social networks are the only way to fit in school. One of the major effects that social media can cause is suicide. Media is a huge thing in a teenage life it's how they can communicate with friends and catch up with what's going on with the people they talk to. Some teenagers feel that if they are not up to date on the trendy topics in social media they bring their self-esteem down which can cause depression. Not knowing somethings that others are talking about can lead to being bullied. Bulling can be done face to face or on social media. In this generation bulling is done through social media which makes it worst because the whole world can see it and it will always be there. In high school I had this class with this boy. He was always joking around with his friends at our table. It looked like nothing was wrong with him because he was always laughing and playing. One day he didn't show up to school and everyone was talking about how people were making fun of him on Twitter. After a week without coming to school I heard people talking about this boy on the news that killed him self because he was being bulled online. That morning at school my teacher turned on the TV and the boy that was in my class was on the news. That day I decided I wanted not part of social media in my life.
