Let´s say that you were in a car sitting right next to your 18-year-old (as well as you) best friend, and they were texting while driving. They came up to a red light, but didn't stop because they were distracted from their phone. Now your friend is dead, and you're in a critical life-or-death situation in the hospital. Do you want this to be be you and your best friend? All teens should wait until the age of 21 years old to start driving on the roads by themselves. Jack Cox is an expert on driving, for he worked (and still is) within the driving area of a career in driving. So that means he studies and teaches about driving, for he is the president of Heights Driving School. He has been within this topic for about 50 years, and has some observations on how teenagers drive at his driving school. Studies show that it is inexperience, not age, that causes accidents. Raising the driving age will just create inexperienced, accident-prone drivers at 18 instead of 16.” What he means is that the car crashes only happen because of inexperience with the car. Some teenagers don’t have much experience with their car-driving, which can lead into car accidents if they drive on the roads without much practice. Therefore, the ages teenagers and young adults drive doesn’t matter within how well they drive. Although that is true, coming back to this topic, the ages does matter within driving. Young adults 21 years and older have more experience with a car than teenagers and are more responsible because their brains are fully developed. Going back to this topic, teenagers are just not mentally ready for the road. They are still deciding the right and wrong ways of life, and aren’t ready for the road if they can’t even choose what classes
