Personal Statement My entry qualification for the degree course was the Technician Diploma & Advanced Diploma in Construction. I started the Technician Diploma in Construction in January, 2011 & completed on 20th April, 2012. I started Advanced Technician Diploma in Construction in April, 2012 & completed on 09th April, 2014. I started my BSc Civil and Structural in Engineering degree in September 2015. On 11th of April, 2017 I completed that degree program at ICBT (Sri Lanka) which was affiliated with the Liverpool John Moores University. I achieved a class 2 division 1 (2nd class upper) degree. My mother is a house wife. I have one younger brother and he is a graphic designer. We live in two storey house in Matale in Sri Lanka & we bought another house in Pannipitiya area. My family members expect me to return to Sri Lanka after completing my studies in Australia. As an elder son I have huge responsibility look after my parents. Also I must help my younger brother for his education. In Sri Lanka, person who had gained a foreign qualification is always preferred and paid well. A fully qualified engineer could demand for a salary over 200,000 Sri Lankan Rupees per month. I like to join with NEM Constructions (pvt) Ltd as a planning engineer. I can join to Nawaloka Construction Company (Pvt) Ltd as an office engineer with salary over 225,000 Sri Lankan Rupees per month. As well after completing this MSc I will have been working for government job opportunity as a site engineer in “Greater Matale Water Supply Project” with salary over 250,000 Sri Lankan Rupees per month. After gaining sufficient experience in the industry, I hope to eventually start own construction company with my father & friends in future. Also Sri Lanka is in a desperate need for foreign qualified people and their skills for it’s development. So in future when I return I am guaranteed to serve my country as a good
