From the looks of it, it’s their mother’s decision because their mother went out of her way to go to the football field and signed their child up to play tackle football knowing that it’s dangerous sport. In the past few years, the controversy over Native American and other racial sport names or mascots have become an uproar. The main sport teams that are being targeted due to controversial mascots are programs having names dealing with Native Americans. Many teams are well known programs such as the Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, and the Washington Redskins. The Redskins are receiving the most heat from racial groups. In the following years, because of their success and mass media exposure they were a team that America as a nation could identify with ,so the name stuck. When looking for an argumentative visual I wanted to do something over a topic that was one day going to relate to me. So I chose the topic of young male children playing tackle football. In this PBS Learning Media documentary, a group of doctors persuasively discuss the effects of allowing a male child under the age of fourteen to play tackle football and the head injuries it can cause as well as the later effective of their growth they can encounter if a hard blow to the head was the happen. The documentaries argument clearly stated that allowing your children to play tackle before the age of fourteen is dangerous and should be avoided for the child 's safety. Football is possibly too dangerous of a game for young boys and girls to be playing. I am not talking about all forms of football, but more specifically tackle football. Yes, football may possibly be one of America’s loved sport because of the brutality that it consists of; although I believe that there should be an age where kids should start playing such a horrific game. At the age of ten young boys, and girls, should be worrying about who they are going to be playing with outside at recess. Kids should not have to be worried about their friends having to miss school because of a concussion, or worse him or herself.

The problem is that many people think that it could be stopped by not allowing kids to play at all. Not only do we know the effects of playing football at a young age, we also have real life stories that have occured to real people. For example, In 2006 a 13 year old named Zachary Lystatdt’s head hit the ground in a routine tackle. He was in pain, so the coach took him out of the game for two plays. He returned to the game and on the last play he collapsed. Zachary was rushed to the hospital and was required to have emergency neurosurgery. After this life changing surgery, 9 months later he was finally able to communicate. Now, he is still learning how to walk (Hamblin, James. “Football Alters the Brains of Kids as Young as 8.”)This story sets an example of why children should not be able to play contact sports until adulthood. Unfortunately, this is not the only sad story about a child who has had life changing effects from playing

This person needs to understand communication on both sides an individual can not just demand that it's a one way street where you talk and athletes listen. The career of coaching requires history of the game knowledge of the game, extensive education, and positive and negatives aspects of the game.
In stadiums, parks and fields all across America, many youth participate in a journey through defeat, heartbreak, hard work, and success. Practicing for hours, rain or shine, to be able to snag that game winning touchdown in the back of the endzone. Although football comes with many risks and dangers, I strongly believe that kids and teens should be allowed to play football because it promotes leadership, teamwork, and requires significant amounts of exercise and cardiovascular activity, and other contact sports are just as dangerous.
