Situated in the north end of the Santa Clara Valley, Sunnyvale is one of the cities that make up Silicon Valley, which is home to some of America's most famous tech companies. Combined with a Mediterranean climate that offers mild winters and comfortable summers, the city's location makes it a wonderful place to live, particularly since it comes with all of the amenities needed to accommodate a wide range of residents. As a result, those who are interested in living somewhere with superb access to all of the conveniences that can be found in the biggest cities while still remaining insulated from their most hectic scenes should not hesitate to look into Sunnyvale residential properties when they have time.

Since Sunnyvale is a city with a wide range of residents, it should come as no surprise to learn that it boasts a mix of both single-family and multi-family residential properties. However, it is important to note that most of its residential properties are meant for single families, though there is significant variation between them. Some provide as little as 750 square feet of space, while others provide more than 3,500

For example, the eating establishments in Downtown Sunnyvale feature bars, clubs, and restaurants serving up conventional as well as foreign cuisine, which ranges from Indian and Italian to Chinese and Japanese. Meanwhile, its businesses range from both personal and professional services to retailers selling everything that most residents could ever need. Finally, it is worth mentioning that Sunnyvale is part of a densely-populated region, meaning that whatever can't be found within its boundaries almost certainly can be found within one of the surrounding cities, which is convenient because it is perfectly placed for both private and public
When a group Olympic Valley, California residents decided to start a petition to incorporate the community, property owners and local businesspersons immediately began debating the issue. Those in favor of incorporation wanted to make Olympic Valley into a town, so the community could govern itself by electing a town council. Those against incorporation claimed that the town wouldn't be able to afford to maintain services, such as snow plowing, that were essential to the community.
The two top candidates for a minor league team in the California League are Concord in the San Francisco Bay Area and Mission Viejo along the coast by Los Angeles. There are reasons why neither of these cities don’t already have teams. Concord is barely out of range of the Major League teams in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is a fear that if Concord isn’t a Giants or A’s affiliate it won’t draw a big enough crowd. Mission Viejo is along the shore and there is a worry that a team wouldn’t be able to compete with people going to the beach. Each of these cities Urban Areas have a population over 600,000. There is enough people that a correctly managed and marketed team should be successful.

Apple Valley has about two-thirds the amount of population Victorville has and with that comes less traffic on the roads. Less traffic on the roads means less smog pollution, less traffic accidents, less paramedic’s the city has to hire, and less the city had to pay out towards medical response. Most cities want to save money so they might be able to spend more money on the city or even cut some taxes. The less smog pollution is a really pleasant factor that comes with living in Apple Valley. It is nice to know that you are breathing in fresh air, not air that is dirty and full of pollution.
Kevin Adam’s is the successful owner of the Sierra Vista Culvers. Under the lead of Mr. Adams Culvers has flourished and had received, the restaurant chains Newcomer Award. I asked Kevin Adam’s about how he went through with selecting and investigating before deciding to go through with the purchase. Mr. Adams said that he received a UFOC (Uniform Franchise Offering Circular) from Culvers. Mr. Adams attended an event called Discovery Week. For this event he got on a plane to fly to Wisconsin to work in a company owned restaurant for 6 days/60 hours. Mr. Adams was able to evaluate the job and determine if he would like to pursue with the purchase. Also, he met with Culver’s owner at the time and he too was evaluating Mr. Adams and his eligibility,
We work with a wide range of organizations in and around Chicago. This year, and previous years, we have worked with organizations that primarily serve Spanish speakers in Chicago and organizations that focus on arts-based programming. However, just as we recruit AmeriCorps members for our program we also recruit organizations to host our AmeriCorps members. The specific organizations with whom we partner changes year-to-year. Therefore, we cannot promise that you'll be able to serve with an organization that works in either of those areas.

SCENARIO 3: Mi Sun the 8-year-old female is experiencing a few cultural barriers that make her situation unique. Coming from a Korean-American family means that Mi Sun and her family are viewed in their culture as one family unit as opposed to individuals in a family. Mi Sun’s culture believes a child owes a debt to their parents and must respect them at all times. Mi Sun’s family may have operated in a benevolent monarchy, and when she reported the abuse she violated all that her family believes in. The additional pressure Mi Sun may feel that is coming from the church is due to traditional beliefs that Mi Sun is not following.
In 2006, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre designed a web site for patients enrolled in a clinical research trial (Curtis, Cheng, Rose, & Tsai, 2011). MyChart’s success has resulted from healthcare providers engaging patients in their own healthcare and utilizing electronic access to personal health information (Curtis et al., 2011). The biggest challenges stem from institutional and end-user adoption, usability, and trust in acute healthcare settings (Curtis et al., 2011). MyChart continues to respond to developmental challenges of adoption, feature designs and usability improvements, multi-site integration and service enabling, and the development of research areas (Curtis et al., 2011). Sunnybrook has experienced a positive change in
As the United States economy grows and technology advances, many areas such as San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and New York City embrace tech companies with open arms. However, it turns San Francisco, once an affordable place, into a luxurious and costly city for people who earn six digit pay checks. The Golden Gate City currently tops the chart for the most expensive homes in the nation. Even techies rent are increasing each month. The people moving into these cities are raising rental and property prices. The middle class is being squeezed out of their
Not only does this positive change help a community and city get a fresh start to a wealthier life, but there are also new programs and initiatives that come with the gentrification of a community. Greenblatt also explains how the positives of gentrification turn into negatives along the way. He comments that since so many new wealthy foreigners and young professionals are moving to these urban cities, they are making a positive change, but overtime real estate values will begin to rise to an unimaginable amount. “ The newcomers also are causing real estate values too sore, spoken concerned that people with fewer means are being forced to move to lower cost suburbs, where jobs and social services are scarcer and commutes longer” (Greenblatt 2). Those who cannot afford to live are being forced out of their own home and community. Minorities have two options, both out of their hands, either move into an affordable house or end up on the streets. Neither one of these options suit minorities and their lifestyles. Since there is a huge sacrifice to pay with gentrification, one can only hope that the sacrifice was worth it. Greenblatt uses different gentrification success stories to explain how gentrification can help the community grow and reshape a neighborhood that was once labeled dangerous into a community where everyone wishes to
After completing high school or college, many young adults have to decide where they want to go to begin the next chapter of their lives. Countless people choose to move to a big city, mainly because they display various job opportunities, eventful nightlife and potential new friends. When deciding where to live, one must consider many factors, some that appeal to their wants and some that are necessary for a healthy life. In the United States, Los Angeles and New York City are often the two top choices because they both contain the qualities that young people are looking for. Although New York City and Los Angeles are both great cities for young adults to live, they each have their own individual factors that attract different people. When
The two neighborhoods that I chose to use for this assignment are vastly different. The main reason is because they are on opposite sides of the country. The first neighborhood that I visited is the one that I grew up in. This neighborhood is in Connecticut, on the East Coast, all the way across the country from the neighborhood that I currently live in here in West Hollywood. Most of my family lives in Connecticut and Massachusetts and I’m the only one who lives on the West Coast. A big difference is that the neighborhood in Connecticut has houses that are more spaced out, have larger lawns, and very many more trees. There are very few apartments there, unlike where I live now where my entire street is almost all apartment buildings.
Where I live is one of the greatest neighborhoods in the city to live in; however, it does have its drawbacks. Importantly, it has nearly everything a resident might want, beautiful picturesque scenery, proximity to shopping, and many of the cultural centers. Nevertheless, the roads can be some of the most congested in town, and the streets are not safe to walk late at night. Fortunately, I wake every morning to the most beautiful sun-lit house. I sit on my porch sipping coffee, while I drink in an atmosphere that steals my breath away.
Pikeville is a polluted town because of the coal industry. People live in apartment or condominium buildings because of its little space available. I grew up in one of the many buildings in Pikeville admiring from my bedroom window the beauty of the mountains, always exploring with my eyes the forest or the meadows, looking for a clean and quiet place. And, I found one on a hill in the back of the town. It is about 100 feet square, it has seven old trees, wild flowers and a lot of bugs and ants during summer time.
