Music was meant to share thoughts or problems about life without revealing names or places. Also, music was meant to be a way for being free. Free from all of the problems that are in the world. But kids nowadays are addicted to music and it holds special place in the heart and minds of young people. And right now, music have affect and enormous influence over their lives. I would like to define music, as vocal or instrumental sound (or both) combined is such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion and furthermore would like to make the statement that music is a form of art. Times have changed and the way music and lyrics are perceived has developed in a violent fashion. Music lyrics are becoming more violent and sexually explicit. Kids watches these music and make violence. Some of these rock music are very offensive. According to the article “Under the Influence of…Music” the author makes a point “from the research in 2005, there were 279 popular song. Among those song, 14 percent were rock music, 20 percent for R&B and hip-hop songs, 36 percent for country and 77 percent were rap songs that influence teens” (Parker-Pope). Some kids these days just allow for music to them. They take sometimes 3 to 4 hours watching or listening to music. For example, one of my friend at school listen to music like after 30 minutes or 1hour. She listen to those some rock songs that have offensive language and begin to use those wordings on her friends. And when she tell some kids those words, they both began to get into fighting and police sometimes end up coming there. Also, in my culture, some kids listen and learn from those music and go in the street and behave rudely, kill someone or hurt
