Paula Vogel, The Long Christmas Ride Home is a very interesting play that tells a story about a dysfunctional family on the holidays. There are three kids in this play which are, Stephen, Rebecca, and Claire. Rebecca is the oldest out of the three of them and believes that she is the only grown one. Claire is the youngest girl and the child that is most adored by the grandparents. Stephen is the only boy and i think goes through the most. Throughout the play the kids realize that the car ride will affect their upcoming future because of their parent’s behavior. The three siblings witness chaos in the car. There are different thoughts going on throughout the car ride. Rebecca complains about her siblings and wants to sit up with her parents.
